This is officially the 7th installment in the COD franchise. Everyone is excited about the new game’s exclusive take on past events and the break from the more conventional entries in the series. This stifling and intense edition has quite the single player campaign, and of course, a brand new take on the famous multi-player modes.
The single player campaign provides an motivating perspective on a wide assortment of historical events. These events take place all around the globe, taking the player to a vast assortment of interesting places. The environments of these missions include Cuba, Vietnam, the Gulf of Mexico, and even the Pentagon.
Black Ops revolves around a review of Alex Mason’s life. As this character sits strapped to a chair, he is interrogated by a hidden enemy and forced to disclose detailed information about various parts of his profession. Interesting aspects touched on by his hindsight is an attempted assassination of Fidel Castro while taking part in the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba, interactions with President John F. Kennedy, and a tour in Vietnam.
Possibly the most desired characteristic of Black Ops is its multi-player mode. It has been overhauled in a multitude of ways, with the most famous feature being the introduction of COD credits. These credits can be used to gamble, purchase new equipment/weapons, and add customized reticules, camouflages, and face paint. Cool stuff.
Call of Duty: Black Ops has surpassed all expectations. It has broken many sales records, as gamers have dashed to purchase this long-awaited COD edition. It’s ghastly but exciting single player campaign, coupled with a mythic multi-player experience, makes it widely considered a must-have game.
