Flight Simulator – an experience
How would you like to be able to fly any aircraft to any destination without a pilots license? A pilot’s license can cost upwards of $10,000 plus many hours of study and flying. You can bypass all of this by using a flight simulator like Microsoft Flight Simulator or X-Plane. They both are inexpensive and easy to use. They both provide the most realistic flight simulation possible. The graphics are uncanny and sound theater like. These programs are extremely sophisticated and provide the utmost in life-like images and scenery. The attention to detail in the aircraft, landscape and weather are extraordinary. The cockpits are where these programs really shine. The instruments and controls are exact duplicates and function exactly like the real controls.
Flying in a flight simulator program requires the same skills and knowledge as flying a real airplane. So don’t think it’s a piece of cake and try to jump right in the cockpit. You will need to learn the engine start up procedures and how to fly the particular aircraft you are in. It takes some studying and practice but it is well worth the effort. Once you learn how to fly an airplane you can enjoy flying around the world anytime you want. If you need an escape, just jump in your favorite airplane and take off. Your mind will travel to distant destinations leaving your worries behind.
